It contains speeches from visual arts, from literary fiction, from cinema and theatre “Cuenta Regresiva” is a work developed into two stages. The first, performed on 2005, consisted on the production of an audiovisual material from a script drawn up by Chilean writer Diamela Eltit, which topic covers areas of imminence of a meeting marked by violence and threat. Death and destruction surrounds every character starred by well known actors such as AlejandroTrejo, Gloria Laso, and Catalina Saavedra among others; who are involved into somatic and linguistic perturbations that cannot be solved.

On its second stage on 2006 the work included the setting of an installation, which is basically structured with the audiovisual material obtained on the first stage of the project. Thus, in order to break the hegemony and to allow a creative space for pluralism and experimenting, the preliminary edition has been intervened to give space to other points of view through design and construction of mobile screens and the scheduled movement of projections around the premises.

“Cuenta regresiva” invites the spectator to move the axis of his vision to other possible points of view. The work moves though a zone different than the commercial cinematography and from the guidelines of this industry; it is better described as a non commercial critic document, it does propose other images and new visual relations to think, from non official places, the different paradigms through which violence is executed.

Lotty Rosenfeld 1943

Since 1979 and her involvement as a visual artist in the group C.A.D.A, Lotty Rosenfeld proposes an analysis on power and its codes, on revealing problems between institutions and civilians. Her interventions are rooted in the street, social environments, areas and locations marked by everyday routines. She uses a transit sign which she modifies materially, generating a + sign, an image to symbolise a social regulation code and a sign of transgression.
